DOCUMENTATION
PRINT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY
A Certificate Of Authenticity also known as a COA, is absolutely invaluable, and usually means you have a genuine signature on a genuine work of art. Reputable art dealers or art publishers typically issue and sign a piece of paper that says your print is genuine. Insisting on the appropriate documentation for a limited edition work of art is your right. It is a simple step you can take as a collector to assure you that what you are buying is the real thing, protecting you from fraud or buying a fake. Receiving a COA is also a clear way to know that you are dealing with a reputable art dealer or gallery.
